I don’t dance to prove I’m better
I don’t dance to buy all the accessories.But rather
I dance for a purpose.
I dance to make my mom proud
I dance to hope that somehow my dad still looks down on me saying “that’s my little girl, that’s my Bree”
I dance because my uncle said he believed in me
I dance for the look in my grandfathers eyes everytime I practice a step around the house
I dance because I love that feeling you get right before you step up to do your steps at a feis
I dance for the heritage
